Annika Patten My artworks were based around the theme of dragons as a storytelling device. I aimed to depict the variety of roles in a story a dragon can take, as well as the versatility of the dragon’s physical depiction, and the vast number of traits that can be added or subtracted from it’s design without compromising its draconic status. I worked with graphite pencils on paper and the digital art application Procreate. I planned on also including acrylic paints and ink but was unable to due to difficulties with timing. This also prevented me from properly exploring the physical traits that could be included in a dragon design. |
