‘Oceans in Her Head’

My series Oceans in Her Head explores the combination of internal conflict with environmental chaos such as the powerful crashing of the waves. The photographs demonstrate aspects of transparency, contrasted against opaque portraits.

The aim was to capture external chaos through the natural, powerful conflicts within the environment. The ocean is one of the most powerful and unpredictable forces on the planet, thus it was photographed to communicate external chaos. The ocean, symbolising power, strength, life, mystery, hope and truth was the main source of inspiration behind my final artwork.
