The intention of this zine was to document the experience of Melbourne’s stage 4 lockdown, especially among my female peers. The aim was to highlight some kind of universalism in our experiences as a way of bridging the distance created by isolation. As a way of tackling the limitations of restrictions, which meant I couldn’t meet any of my subjects in their homes as I originally wanted to do, I asked the participants to send me a letter and photos they had taken. I hope to engage teenagers/young adults that felt alone during lockdown and to remind them that almost everyone felt similarly.
