What is it and why should I do it?

Art Creative Practice is a subject that allows for development of a range of technical skills. In Unit 1, you will explore personal and structural influences whilst reflecting on your own personal art making. You will document your ideas and skill development to enhance the personal ideas in your range of works.

Unit 2 places emphasis on cultural influences across varied points in history as well as the way that artists have worked collaboratively in the past and the present. You will document and reflect on your skill development, work collaboratively, and complete a finished artwork that takes influences from cultural beliefs, traditions and/or values that interest and inspire you.

What will I do in class?

In Art we devote 3 periods a week to our Creative Practice. You will create a range of works that are documented and evaluated. One period of each week is dedicated to discussion and note-taking that contributes to your written assessment task.

How much homework will I have?

Additional work outside of class hours is required for completion of artworks and the final essay
