What is it and why should I do it?

Recreation elective engages students in practical and active learning experiences in natural environments and settings typically beyond the school boundary. In these environments, students develop knowledge, understanding and skills to move safely and competently while valuing a positive relationship with and promoting the sustainable use of these environments. If you enjoy getting out and about enjoying recreational activities within the community this elective is just for you.

What will I do in class?

-Theory lessons are accessed on wiki page and powerpoints submitted on compass learning task at the end of that week

-Practical sessions range from at school activities to excursions. All students are expected to participate

-Once practical sessions are finalised payment and consent will be made through compass events. Financial assistance is available

-Wearing appropriate attire for practical sessions eg.activewear/runners etc.
