What is it and why should I do it?
Year 10 French is all about continuing on your great journey to becoming a proficient French speaker! Along the way you will also further explore French culture, lifestyle, traditions and learn more about the Francophone world.
What will I do in class?
Through a variety of text types you will explore the following topics:
- The French speaking world
- Technology and the Internet
- Friends and family, discuss relationships, talk about aspects of daily life
- Paris sights, describe places of interest, understand tourist information, arranging holidays
- Paris metro system
- Changes in lifestyle (leisure activities)
- TV, cinema and books
- Famous French people
- Canada (Quebec and Montreal)
- How to protect the environment
- School life
- Careers
- Healthy lifestyles (fitness)
How will I be assessed?
Classroom participation, completion of classroom activities and satisfactory completion of unit assessment tasks (listening, speaking, reading and writing skills)
