What is it and why should I do it?
Year 9 Italian all about continuing your great journey to becoming a proficient speaker of the wonderful Italian language! Along the way you will also learn more about what it means to be an Italian and develop a deeper understanding of Italian culture and lifestyle.
What will I do in class?
Through a variety of text types you will explore the following topics:
- Daily Routine
- Health and Fitness
- Different types of Italian dwellings
- Getting around Italy
- How to shop in Italy
- Italian fashion
- Talking about a night out (using the present perfect tense!)
In addition, you will also learn about the history of Italy - Ancient Rome, Medieval and Renaissance Italy as well as explore the different 'sagre' and other  important Italian religious and historical 'feste' which are celebrated in the breathtakingly beautiful Italia!
Assessment
Completion of class activities as well as assessment tasks (listening, speaking, reading and writing) at the end of each unit are required.
