Title of Work: The Missing

Medium: Short Film

The Missing explores the genre of horror and subgenre of found footage. The concept behind my production project is inspired by low budget horror films. In my eyes, horror is the most encapsulating genre of film and you can get more ‘bang for your buck’ due to the riveting intensity of horror which can be achieved for a low production cost. I intend on using a cheap camcorder for the aged video quality and to more effectively recreate a ‘school project’ type of film, letting the viewers empathise and feel more fear as they picture themselves in the same situation as my characters.
