Graphic Visual Communication Design is the art and practice of communicating visually. In this subject you will explore branding design, typography, historic design styles and illustrationEnvironmental Design, Product Design & Communication Design. You will engage in a the design process to produce creative solutions that respond to design briefs.
What will I do in class?
The subject involves a lot of independent work on practical design tasks and investigation/analysis on factors that impact design decisions.
You will:
- Use a range of manual and digital methods, media (with a focus on Adobe Illustrator)
- Apply the design elements and principles
- Document your design process in a visual diary
- Learn how to manipulate type and imagery
