The course will introduce students to design and idea development through technical drawing skills and the communication of those ideas for a specific purpose and audience. This will involve the creative solution of design problems exploring both two and three-dimensional representational techniques.

Students will study and produce symbols, typography (lettering), poster and layout design, illustration, plans and maps, package design and drawing conventions and three-dimensional representation.
