This course is the standard Victorian Curriculum Maths course undertaken in Victorian schools. It covers Linear Equations and Relations, Measurement, Pythagoras's Theorem and Trigonometry.
This course is similar to the standard Victorian Curriculum Maths, however it covers some topics in more depth and moves at a faster pace. The course covers Linear Equations and Relations, Trigonometry (including Circular Function), Indices and Surds
Students planning to complete the Vocational Major, or students who do not wish to complete any VCE Mathematics subjects may apply to complete Units 1&2 Numeracy in Year 10.
The following table shows the criteria teachers will use for their recommendation. Recommendations are based on student work and teacher observation and indicates the teacher’s view of likely success.

This subject prepares students for Unit 1&2 Mathematical Methods, and Unit 1&2 Specialist Maths. Topics such as Quadratic equations, Parabolas, Cubics, Surds, Exponential and Logarithmic Relations will be covered.
This subject prepares students for Unit 1&2 General Maths. Topics such as Descriptive Statistics, Bivariate data, Financial Maths, Matrices and Networks will be covered.
Please note the following recommendations for VCE (Year 11) Maths:
