This subject allows students to investigate health and development in Australian and global communities. Students will be able to
understand health and human development at an individual level, in group and community settings. The study also promotes the
understanding of nutrition and the role that nutrients play in influencing both health status and individual human development.
All Unit 3 and 4 subjects require 3-5 hours of study per week.

To pass any VCE unit you need to demonstrate that you have met the Outcomes.
ASSESSMENT REQUIREMENTS
The student’s level of achievement for Unit 3 and 4 will be determined by School-assessed
Coursework and an end-of-year examination. Contribution to final assessment:
• School-assessed Coursework for Unit 3 contributes 25%
• School-assessed Coursework for Unit 4 contributes 25%
• End-of-year examination contributes 50%
