What is it and why should I do it?
Year 10 Italian is all about continuing on your great journey to becoming a proficient Italian speaker! Along the way you will also learn more about what it means to be an Italian and develop a deeper understanding of Italian culture and lifestyle.
What will I do in class?
Through a variety of text types you will explore the following topics:
- Holidays and destinations
- Ecotourism and alternative travel
- Italian migration (historical and modern-day)
- Italians living in Australia
- The environment
- Technology
- Schooling and subject options
- Future aspirations and the world of work
In addition, you will also learn about the history of Italy - the Unification, Medieval and Renaissance Italy as well as explore the different 'sagre' and other important Italian religious and historical 'feste' which are celebrated in this breathtakingly beautiful and culturally rich country of Italia!
How will I be assessed?
Classroom participation, completion of classroom activities and satisfactory completion of unit assessment tasks (listening, speaking, reading and writing skills)

Course Books and subscription
Students are required to:
- retain their copies of Ecco! due Student Book with Ebook and Ecco! due Activity Book from Year 9.
- renew their annual subscription to the online educational platform Education Perfect, purchased through Campion booksellers (PHSC booklist suppliers) prior to the beginning of the school year.
