What is it and why should I do it?

Architectural design looks at the way we live in the spaces we occupy. You will design a Studio Apartment over an existing garage.  Students will learn how to develop an architectural floor plan and then translate these design features into elevations and perspective drawings. Both hand drawing and digital drawing methods will be used. Extension topics include development of interior design of your space, and furniture to use in these spaces. Students will also undertake a research investigation on contemporary global micro-housing developments.

What will I do in class?

This subject will focus on a semester length design project, with all components contributing to your final architectural design. This content will include preparation tasks to explore and develop potential ideas, and 4 finished RLT design drawings and a written Investigation & Analysis Task.
