Inkjet prints

My project explores the notions of hand movement and the ways in which communication and perception of the human form can be manipulated through experimenting with the subject and the images editing process. This idea stemmed from a day sitting on public transport and noticing the different ways in which people sit with their hands being restless or restful. I began to explore the ideas of gestures and how they can be perceived as alienating or isolated from normality. I have achieved this abstract by capturing hands through coloured lenses or altering the images with black and white level edits.
