What is it and why should I do it?
Year 10 Standard Maths is the standard Victorian Curriculum Maths course undertaken in Victorian schools. This subject prepares students for semester 2 Year 10 General Primer and leads onto Year 11 General Maths. Topics such as Algebra, Measurement, Trigonometry and Linear Relations will be covered.

To gain an S you need to demonstrate that you have met the Outcomes. In 10 Plus Standard Maths, the outcomes all involve being able to apply the mathematics studied in the course; in routine situations, in more complex application problems and using technology (your CAS calculator).
You will meet the Outcomes through your results on topic tests for each topic (4-5 topic tests per Unit, one about every 3-4 weeks), participation in class discussions, and completion of coursework.
