What is it and why should I do it?

In this elective, students will extend their performance skills by exploring different performance styles. They will delve into Verbatim Theatre, where real-life stories are transformed into powerful performances, and Absurdist Theatre, which uses illogical situations and abstract characters to challenge conventional storytelling. Students will also experiment with Musical Theatre, combining acting, singing, and movement, and Epic Theatre, where performers break the fourth wall to provoke thought and social change. Across all styles, students will collaborate to create bold performances and reflect on the purpose and power of theatre.
