What is it and why should I do it?

You will read, watch and listen to news stories, excerpts from podcasts , TV shows, books and video games. You will discuss lots of ideas with your class. You will do many small activities in groups and on your own - some of these will build into larger assessable tasks. You will produce a range of work from short answers, song lyrics, essays, role plays , podcasts, scripts and digital creationsand creative writing.
How do I satisfactorily complete the unit?
The course is broken up into 6 short sections which will last around 3 4 or 5 weeks. You will need to submit 1 or 2 tasks for each section. For example in the section called Language For Influencing, Advocacy and Social Change you will compare how news stories are presented and write a comparison. You will also create a podcast about an current issue of your choiceInfluence and Advocacy you will create a webpage and in the section called Language For Relationships you will write an essay.
