| Inez MartorellInkjet prints My works explore the role of privacy vs publicity in this digital age, and the role of photography and portraits in this increasing loss of privacy. I have used textured glass panels to obscure the subjects face, reducing the appearance to a silhouette or an abstracted face. In my second work, I have created a second layer of texture by crushing and scanning prints, creating a screen-like, digital appearance - playing on the alienation of technology. |
