What is it and why should I do it?
Art Creative Practice is a subject that guides you in the development of a personally significant year long annotated folio that results in the production of completed artworks that reflect your thinking and skill development in both Units 3&4. In Unit 3, ideas and inspirations are explored that will then continue to evolve and develop into a fully resolved and finished body of work. This curriculum encourages personal thinking and investigation into technical applications that best express your ideas. Each week 3 periods are devoted to your folio and art making.driven by the creative art-making process that evolves through self-directed student research that leads into experimentation with materials and processes that is enhanced and built upon with self-reflection. Sharing & presenting your ideas & creative work is also integral to your learning. You will be required to create finished artworks in both units 3&4. Unit 3 is designed to encourage inquiry and discovery whilst Unit 4 emphasises creation of a resolved Body Of Work.
We will have a weekly discussion & note-taking class in Unit 4 that will lead into a SAC assessment that prepares you for your end of year externally assessed exam.
