In this elective students will explore all aspects of creating a Drama Production. You will be involved in selecting the script by reading and researching and then once the production has been chosen, you will rehearse and design, direct and perform for a community performance outside creating a pitch for your choice to the class. This may be an edited Shakespeare play or a range of scripts by contemporary and classical playwrights. Students will pitch for the script they prefer and the class will then decide. Then the race is on to get the script to performance in 9 or so weeks. Students can choose to You will rehearse and design, direct and perform for an audience of family and friends. Students will work in acting and / or set, costume, props, lighting and sound design roles, explore directing a scene or try your hand at stage managing or promotion. .
