In this subject students will learn about:
the
construction of media products including film, animation and website designhow genre is created through the use of sound, colour, acting and editingtechnical and creative aspects of photography, including how to use digital cameras and other photographic equipment
how composition, lighting, colour and focus can be used to create meaning in images
how editing software can be
use to create and manipulate short films such as trailersa range of software and technical equipment that can be used to construct media artworks such as animationused to enhance, manipulate, and refine photographic works
different photographic styles and techniques used by contemporary and historical photographers
Students will be required to:
research
stage of the production process to create media products- produce edited sequences that demonstrate an understanding of genre and filmmaking techniques
- create a series of animations including stop motion plan and create websites that demonstrate an understanding of layouts, style and audiences
and analyse the work of photographers to inform their own ideas
plan and produce a series of photographs based on set themes and concepts
edit and present photographic works using industry-standard software
document their creative process and reflect on their technical and artistic development
