What is it and why should I do it?
This subject will have aquatic and terrestrial ecology at its centre while exploring a range of important environmental crises, such as threats to biodiversity and climate change and how can we can use contemporary research to manage these issues. If you have a passion for marine biology, zoology and environmental issues, this the subject for you!
What will I do in class?
Through this subject you will partake in range of hands on activities including field work and excursions, experiments, inquiry based student investigations and class discussions.
How do I satisfactorily complete the unit?
You will complete a range of smaller and extended tasks such as:
- A student lead investigation on an ecosystem/species of your choice
- Field work write ups
- Participation in experiments and discussions
- Topic tests
