What is it and why should I do it?
What will the future hold? This Year 10 Chemistry Elective will look at how Chemistry is connected to innovation in addressing contemporary challenges. Chemical science will play a part in solving challenges in health, energy and climate change, water and food production. This elective will endeavour to investigate the design of chemical products and processes that are related to these challenges. Students will apply chemical knowledge, scientific skills, and critical and creative thinking to investigate and analyse modern chemistry-related issues and communicate their views from an informed position.
This subject is recommended for students who have an interest in current and new technologies in the areas of energy sources, water and their impact on health.
What will I do in class?
Classes will involve covering new content material, research investigations, as well as experimental work.

To gain an S you need to demonstrate that you have met the Outcomes.
