Music Making is all about creating/composing and/or performing music and learning how to preserve it using digital recording processes. Students will work in small group or individual settings to develop a folio of musical recordings that will include covers of existing works and their own compositions. Students will also study styles/eras of music that have been an important part of modern music history (ie JazzBlues, Funk, Soul, Punk), as well as picking their own personal area of musical interest to complete a report on. Music Making is a great opportunity for students to explore, perform, create, and understand music across different times, eras, genres, and styles, without the pressure of needing to perform in a concert or gig-style setting.
