The media form is print, specifically a virtual magazine. It was created via InDesign and intended to be viewed by audiences as an interactive PDF. Originally, I had planned to hand sew the pages together using needle and thread, however due to COVID-19 Restrictions this became impossible. The magazine is 22 pages and mostly features artworks and photographs which I created myself. The magazine features a content page, articles discussing self-care, recipes, poems, a workout routine and recommendations. The purpose of this magazine is to create a space where readers can escape the pressures of daily life, society and current events, to relax, regroup and practice self-care. The magazine will also educate readers on the importance of self-care in everyday life. Whilst being a resource for readers to escape societal pressures, the magazine will also intellectually challenge readers through various artwork and articles to keep readers engaged. The overall purpose of the magazine is to help readers begin their self-care journey.
