| Ollie'Untitled' Inkjet prints on Canson rag paper 60cm x 40cm My body of photography work, which I created throughout 2021, attempts to convey a documentation of youth-hood and memory. Captured are mostly spontaneous and intimate moments with my friends as well as locations and scenery that mean a lot to me. The light trails are used to create a representation of how a memory of our youth-hood can feel; Nostalgic, chaotic, and adventurous. Taking inspiration from artists such as Ed Templeton and William Eggleston, my images are supposed to invoke feelings of nostalgia and freedom, as they present aesthetically pleasing portraits of teenagers partying and having fun whilst exploring their younger years. Alex BesenThe aim of my photography was to create artwork that would show the contrast in “chaos and calm through different environments” through the use of collaging and contrasting black and white imagery against color photos. My communication of my ideas are around showing how different energies can be shown through different environments in terms of the landscape representing the culture of the area and the overall vibrance. |
