Princes Hill Secondary College acknowledges the importance of volunteers and recognises the valuable contribution that volunteers provide to our school community and the work that we do. It is also critical that volunteers are confirmed to be suitable to work with children and are well-placed to make a positive contribution to our school community. The information on this page provides prospective volunteers with information about the activities they may volunteer to support and the steps required to comply with our Volunteers Policy, including suitability checks which in most cases will require evidence of a Working with Children Check (WWCC).
Your Responsibilities as a Volunteer
The first action required of any prospective volunteer at Princes Hill Secondary College is to review our Volunteers Policy.
Once the prospective volunteer has read and understood the Volunteers Policy, and is comfortable with the suitability checks and obligations set out in the policy, they can use the button below to submit a Volunteer Registration Form.
Where a Working With Children Check (WWCC) is required and the prospective volunteer has not got a valid and current check, they can apply online here for FREE.
Prospective volunteers will receive an initial confirmation of receipt of the Volunteer Registration Form. Upon acceptance of the form, an email will be sent requesting completion of the following induction steps:
- Read and complete the Volunteer Induction Handbook
- Complete the Child Safety Induction Pack for Volunteers
- View the PHSC Volunteer Training Video - Child Safe Standards
In some situations, further information may be requested such as references, proof of identity, qualifications or work history involving children. Please use the button below to affirm completion of the above steps.
